Little Wheels Training

Get your little one biking safely this summer

The Athlone Community League is proud to once again host the Little Wheels Training program. They have beginner bike classes to help your young one learn to ride safety, advanced classes for when they are ready to learn and do more, and mixed skills training for everyone. All classes emphasize traffic safety and are lots of fun.

The next set of lessons will begin on July 2, 2019 and run each Tuesday for 8 weeks.

In this round, there will be three classes offered:

  1. 9:30 – 10:30 am – Beginner
  2. 10:30 – 11:30 am – Advanced
  3. 6:00 – 7:00 pm – Mixed Skills

The Junior Forest Warden (JFW) program is a challenging and rewarding family based outdoor experience for children from Grades 1 to 12. Families are invited to develop awareness, appreciation and respect for our natural environment through activities that emphasize Forestry, Ecology, Outdoor Skills and Leadership.

This family oriented club meets two Thursdays a month for skill training and one weekend a month for a day/weekend family activity. Parent participation is required. Parents, if you are interested in learning with your child about hiking, camping, canoeing, survival training and more, this is the club for you!
