Throughout the year, the Athlone Community League is proud to host some fun and educational programs.

Traditional Karate

The Athlone Community Hall hosts the Edmonton Traditional Karate Club two days a week on Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 to 9 pm.

  • Ages 9 to 13 (6:30 – 7:30 pm) Please note that adult supervision is required for these ages.
  • Ages 14 to Adult (7:30 – 9:00 pm)

The cost is $20/month, payable month by month (that’s less than $2.50 per class). Family rates available. Try it free for 2 weeks with no obligation. Community league membership is required.

Junior Forest Wardens

The Athlone Community Hall hosts the Junior Forest Warden program two days a month on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 7 – 8 pm.

The Junior Forest Warden (JFW) program is a challenging and rewarding family based outdoor experience for children from Grades 1 to 12. Families are invited to develop awareness, appreciation and respect for our natural environment through activities that emphasize Forestry, Ecology, Outdoor Skills and Leadership.

This family oriented club meets two Thursdays a month for skill training and one weekend a month for a day/weekend family activity. Parent participation is required. Parents, if you are interested in learning with your child about hiking, camping, canoeing, survival training and more, this is the club for you!

Athlone Community League Programs Survey

Interested in having a say in the types of programs that could take place in the Athlone and Dunvegan community? The Athlone Community League would like to hear from you.
The purpose of this survey is to gather information on the types of programs you would like to see in our community. The survey should only take about 5 minutes and your inputs is greatly appreciated.
Data collected here will be used to help us understand what our community wants, so that we can try to offer programs that are appealing to those living in Athlone and Dunvegan area.
